Former shelter dog saves 3-year-old girl in Michigan

A 3-year-old girl was saved by an adopted dog named Peanut in Michigan. The girl was found naked shivering in freezing weather.

Peanut was adopted from Delta Animal Shelter one year ago. As per the letter shared by Delta Animal Shelter on Facebook, Peanut went crazy at the house and she was running up and down on the staircase. She then came to the family members and alerted that she wanted to go outside. Peanut took a family member to a field behind the house on Michigan’s Upper Peninsula where the girl child found shivering in freezing weather.

The family members took her to their house and called 911 and reported the incident. By the time the ambulance and police arrived, the Delta County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the story and says the girl is OK.

Authorities say that they found her parents nearby in a residence with “unsafe and unsanitary living conditions.”

Peanut before the adoption was named Petunia and the name was changed after the family adopted her. The family members are happy with the achievements of Peanut and now she is considered as a hero in Michigan.
