Solarin: The World’s Most Expensive Smartphone Launched By Sirin Labs

  • Israeli start-up firm Sirin Labs has developed a luxurious Smartphone priced more than $14,000 (Rs. 9.3 lakh approximately). The phone has been designed keeping various aspects such as security, usability and design in mind and is the most expensive phone in the world today.

  • The Android Smartphone promises chip-to-chip 256-bit encryption and is indistinguishable to what the military uses for protecting communications. It’s known as Solarin and can be activated through a physical security switch located in its back. The phone was launched at an event in London and the makers claim it has been built with a majestic security system which also offers options for both encrypted calls and messages.
  • Moreover, the phone also constitutes Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 processor with X10 LTE and a 23.8 megapixel camera. It also includes a 5.5 inch IPS LED 2K screen, a sound system with three ‘bass-boosted’ speakers and WiFi capabilities which can transfer data at 4.6 GBps among others.

  • Sirin Labs claim that the most advanced privacy technology is available with Solarin and it constitutes path breaking privacy features. Sirin Labs is working along with communication security firm KoolSpan.

  • Sirin Labs is confident that its revolutionary product Solarin will be heavily popular among customers. They also claim that the phone has been built with the best materials from all over the globe.

  • Further, Solarin has been built in order to keep cyber attacks at bay. It aims to offer better privacy to customers and will definitely be a boost for saving their precious information.

  • The excellent device will be offered at Sirin Labs’ first retail store in Mayfair (34 Bruton Place), London from June 1 and Harrods, Knightsbridge, from June 30.

  • Sirin Labs has confirmed that Solarin will be provided in several variants such as Fire Black Carbon Leather with Titanium, Fire Black Carbon Leather with Diamond-Like Carbon, Fire Black Carbon Leather with Yellow Gold, and Crystal White Carbon Leather with Diamond-like Carbon.
