Waiter Feeds A Man Who Has No Hands Then Shrugs Off Praise.

Restaurant waiter Alex Ruiz touched thousands of hearts after he was photographed feeding a customer who has no hands.

But the modest 22-year-old server at the Cinco de Mayo Mexican Grill in Douglasville, Georgia, said “I didn’t mean for it to cause a lot of attention, I just wanted to help,” he told Inside Edition, adding that he didn’t ask how the client had lost his hands because he didn’t want him “to feel uncomfortable.”Ruiz didn’t hesitate when the the unidentified man asked for help after ordering food at the eatery on Sunday. The server spent the next half hour forking rice and beans towards the man’s mouth, rolling his shrimp tacos and talking with him.

Regular diner Reginald Widener photographed the heartwarming encounter, and posted the image to Facebook (above).

“This seriously hit me right in the soul,” Widener wrote in the post, which has since gone viral . “Still good ppl in the world.” 

Inside Edition reports that after the man had finished his meal, Ruiz took his money to the cashier and returned with his change. He then went back to waiting the other tables as if nothing had happened.

“Everyone at work was telling him what a great guy he was,” said his colleague Crystal Figueroa. “That’s just something you don’t see. A person feeding a stranger.”
